Lud’o Lounge wins the Good Design Awards 2020

A worthy tribute to Vico Magistretti, Urquiola’s mentor, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Italian designer, Lud’o Lounge is an extremely innovative object with unusual lines and an ingenious construction, eco-friendly and transformable, which crosses the boundaries of design to identify a new way of living.

A recycled (and recyclable) plastic shell hosts a soft dress, that can be changed according to the season, the circumstance or the mood. From the sporty nylon fabric to the corduroy inspired by the latest fashion trends to the soft bouclé wool giving a delicate and pleasant tactile experience.

“Lud’o Lounge is a conceptual and ethically conscientious furniture project, capable of living multiples lives. With a simple change of clothes, it shows a different image from time to time. It is not a classic armchair with removable cover, but an extremely comfortable object that can be dressed, thus marking an important chapter in the evolution of contemporary seating concept”, stated Giulio Cappellini, talent scout and creative soul of the company.

A successful product strengthening the image of Cappellini, more and more esteemed and appreciated worldwide.
