Cappellini presents CAP900

September 2021

CAPPELLINI POINT
Bastioni di Porta Nuova 9 - MILAN

On the occasion of the Milan Design Week, staged from the 4th to 10th of September, Cappellini reveals in the spaces of Cappellini Point an extraordinary contemporary reinterpretation of dwelling in the 30s. The brand with its deep Milanese roots pays tribute to the elegantly subdued culture of the city, which has always been a refined reference point for the history of architecture and design.

For this real tribute to Milanese modernism, in an alternation of welcoming environments and intimate spaces, the airy and sophisticated atmospheres of the city villas of the past have been recreated and completed with a swimming pool presented in a vertical concept. The installation, curated by Valentina Folli, is divided into a pleasant compositional stratification: the chromatic and consistency dimension, marked by an original texture and a refined palette of colours which turn and twist through the different rooms; the symmetrical and rigorous furniture arrangement; the scattered presence of art, a file rouge that crosses all the environments.

These three components meet within the rooms and intertwine thanks to spectacular scenes made with decorative papers, printed graphic carpets and collections by the Italian artist Aldo Bresciani.

Cappellini’s icons signed by the designers, who usually collaborate with the brand, help to define the Cap900 project. The Lud'o Lounge by Patricia Urquiola, the colorful Juli Soft armchairs by Werner Aisslinger in contrast with the Newood Light in the natural wood finishes, the soft Litos sofa by Sebastian Herkner and the Lochness container collection by Piero Lissoni designed for the living area come alive revealing the brand's skillful ability to create timeless furnishing elements.

Cap900 is a tribute to the beauty of the past, meant as a precious legacy to be inspired by: a heritage of style and quality which has made Milan unique in the world.
