A fashion designer and creative known for his vibrant, colorful and distinctly pop aesthetic, Alessandro Enriquez has long brought together the worlds of fashion, visual culture and interiors. His connection with Cappellini began in April 2026, when an encounter with Art Director Giulio Cappellini brought Enriquez’s colorful Bellissima plate collection to the walls of the brand’s Milan showroom.
Today, this artistic dialogue is renewed and strengthened during Milan Fashion Week with AZZURRO, a special installation co-curated by the two that serves as the stage for the new Spring/Summer 2027 Olimpo d’Amore collection. This project stems from the meeting of two distinct yet complementary languages: Cappellini’s design rigor, research, and design culture blend with Alessandro Enriquez’s pop, ironic, and Mediterranean universe.

To bring the visual concept to life and complete the showroom installation, Cappellini’s iconic Bac chair — selected jointly by Giulio Cappellini and Alessandro Enriquez — is dressed solely for Fashion Week in a brand-new azure finish. The shade is inspired by Greece and “loulaki,” the traditional pigmented powder in shades of ultramarine blue that characterizes the doors and windows against the white backdrop of Cycladic architecture — a symbol of that Mediterranean light that ideally unites Greece and Sicily.
With this collaboration, Cappellini once again reaffirms its commitment to paying tribute to the world of fashion. The initiative reflects the luxury furniture brand’s ongoing and fruitful engagement with the world of couture, reaffirming its ability to enrich the language of design with the trends and expressive sensibility of the international runways.
