Fortuna

Carlotta Fortuna, born in Vicenza in 1984, is an architect and designer specializing in surface and textile design.

She trained both in Italy and internationally, studying at the Politecnico di Milano, with two exchange programs at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Lyon and at U.W.E. University in Australia, and later at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, where she deepened her artistic research related to image and surface through a Master’s in Painting.

After a professional experience at Studio Citterio & Partners, she oriented her career towards surface decoration in design, collaborating with companies in interior decoration, home textiles, and interior materials.

Her design research is characterized by a strong focus on illustrated drawing as the foundation of her projects, color as a structural—not merely decorative—tool, and surface as an architectural element capable of defining atmosphere and identity. Her graphic sign, often inspired by natural and botanical elements, translates into patterns, textures, and color compositions that interact with materials, light, and space.

Since 2019, she has been a faculty member at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan for the Master’s programs in “Surface and Textile Design” and “Contemporary Interior Design,” where she teaches CMF (Color, Materials, Finishes), imparting a design approach that integrates visual culture, material research, and innovative materials for interior spaces.
