June 2022

During the evening of Monday, June 20th, Giulio Cappellini received the prestigious
Compasso d'Oro Career Award at the ADI DESIGN MUSEUM in Milan.

An important award which rewards his career of continuous reading and interpretation of design, for the constant research conducted with deep passion.

Architect, designer, businessman, international visiting professor, but also trendsetter and talent scout. On receiving the award, Giulio Cappellini quotes a master:

'I think our task is, of course, to create useful and nice objects, but, as the great Castiglioni said, also to make people smile and dream'.

To him, we owe the discovery of great professionals in design. From Jasper Morrison to Nendo, as well as Marc Newson, Marcel Wanders and the Bouroullec brothers up to Elena Salmistraro, Matěj Janský and Cyril Dunděra, Leonardo Talarico, Antonio Facco, Stefano Panterotto and Alexis Tourron, Johan Lindstén and Sebastian Herkner many have emerged and grown as key figures thanks to his forward thinking and support.

On this occasion, some of them wanted to share a thought of esteem and thanks to him.
