The Cappellini Next Voices project was born as a natural continuation of the search for uncontaminated creative minds from the worlds of art and design. Within this context stands Giulio Cappellini, internationally recognized as one of the most influential talent scouts in the industry, always attentive to identifying new visions and emerging languages.
The selection of projects is based on a search for innovative approaches, different yet complementary at the same time. On one hand, the essential rigor of Marquel Williams, an artist, model, and designer based in Los Angeles; on the other, the softer, more narrative style of the products designed by Reggy St. Surin, an industrial designer based in Montreal. This tension between distinct aesthetics represents one of the defining features of the project, capable of expressing the plurality and complexity of contemporary design.
Their products were showcased during Milan Design Week at the Spazio Cappellini Milano showroom, in via Borgogna 8, offering the public a direct look at new directions in design and the key figures shaping its future.
Beams | Marquel Rashaad Williams
Beams draws inspiration from structural elements of architecture. This research led to the creation of the Beam Lounge Chair, a leather armchair with a laser-cut aluminum structure, and the Beam Floor Lamp, a dual-light lamp with adjustable shades, balancing industrial aesthetics with functionality.
Tom | Reggy St. Surin
The Tom chair is a sculptural and charismatic reinterpretation of everyday seating. Its organic, creature-like form and bold color choices create a strong visual presence that does not shy away from attention. The soft, upholstered structure enhances comfort, while its unconventional design challenges traditional chair typologies. Tom brings warmth and playfulness into an inanimate object.
