Internationally renowned designer Satyendra Pakhalé founded his studio in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 1998. Trained in both India and Switzerland, Pakhalé has established himself as a leading figure in the fields of design, art, and architecture. His approach to design transcends conventional boundaries, blending high-tech and traditional crafts, industrial production and craftsmanship, and functionality with poetic significance.
Over the span of his career, Pakhalé has honed his craft through a wide range of innovative projects for high-profile clients and industries. His philosophy of inclusive and innovative design has led him to share his insights globally through lectures. Pakhalé also served as the founding dean of the Master of Design for Humanity and Sustainable Living program at the Design Academy Eindhoven from 2006 to 2010.
His works are part of the permanent collections of prestigious museums worldwide, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Among his many collaborations, Satyendra Pakhalé worked with Cappellini on the Aquarelle rug collection, which showcases his distinctive blend of artistic craftsmanship and modern design principles.
