Jangir Maddadi is a Kurdish-born, Swedish designer who believes that good design has the power to transform lives. He started his career right after graduating from design school in 2014, and since then he has been designing and manufacturing the products he creates, for both public and private spaces. His collection is based on products born from various interior projects he's worked on and refined through repeated use in people’s homes.
Jangir Maddadi's ambition has always been to create “functional sculptures”. His perspective on a well-designed product is delicately balanced between form, function, and material. He has a design methodology grounded in understanding the material and operational processes involved. His perspective on design incorporates strength and character, and his designs are neither modern nor classic: in total Cappellini style, Maddadi’s products are timeless objects that resist the passage of time and fleeting fashion trends.
For Cappellini, Jangir Maddadi designed the Vendicari collection of outdoor furniture.
