Originally from Toulouse, Jean-Marie Massaud, received a diploma from the École Nationale Supérieur de Création Industrielle.

His professional experience reflects an international flair and openness towards new horizons. In the early years of his career, he moved frequently between Asia and France, prior to settling permanently in Paris, where he opened his studio in 1994.

Since then, he has dedicated himself to industrial design and the design of furnishing elements, establishing numerous relationships with important companies such as Authentics, Baccarat and Magis.

The focus of his research is fully realized in the ideal of essentiality, in which aesthetic minimalism becomes a means for exalting the individual inhabiting it.  Massaud’s InOut series, for Cappellini, composed of a sofa and bench, respects this interpretive key.

His talent and versatility have led him to form partnerships with companies of a diverse nature, such as Cappellini, Cacharel, Lancôme, Tronconi and Yamaha Offshore.
