An exhibition celebrating Jasper Morrison in Belgium
"Thingness" is the first retrospective exhibition of the work of Jasper Morrison. Open until 13th of September, it is on show in a former industrial plant from the neoclassical period which has been converted into the Grand-Hornu cultural center. Morrison is a designer whose style is minimal, but not simple, which looks towards the east and emphasizes function. Projects by Cappellini, Vitra, Alessi, Flos, Magis, Muji, Samsung and Sony from the 80’s to present are exhibited in a chronological layout highlighting how his career has developed thanks to the intuition of Giulio Cappellini who "discovered" Jasper Morrison and his Thinking Man's Chair in 1988. This retrospective is also an opportunity to discover "A Book of Things", the new monograph of his work also available for sale at the Cappellini showroom.
