Cappellini furnished Costa Smeralda, the new flagship of the cruise company.
Inspired by the concept of "Italy's finest" which refers to a creative celebration of the Italian style and its best expressions, the interior design of the ship was interpreted by four architecture and interior design studios led by the creative Adam D.

A ship that brings excellence on board, "with Italian products, made by the Italians", as Tihany said, to which Cappellini made a decisive contribution. Expression of manufacturing quality, craftsmanship and experimentation, the company has furnished the central rooms of Costa Smeralda with Drum, Mac Stopa’s armchair that stands out for the plastic forms with a strong aesthetic impact which, in addition to guaranteeing maximum comfort, makes it the absolute protagonist of the space.
On board the Costa Smeralda, Cappellini also stands out in the Costa Design Collection Museum (CoDe): the first museum space that celebrates Italian design on board a cruise ship. A real tribute to the history of "made in Italy" and to the great influence in the world of Italian creativity, of which Cappellini could only be a protagonist. Among the pieces chosen to represent the know-how and style of our country there are in fact also some famous products signed by the company such as the Proust armchair by Alessandro Mendini and the S-Chair by Tom Dixon.
