Cappellini @ Milano Design Week 2018
In the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, held from the 17th to 22nd of April. The new collection was on display in a scenery made of vivid and white light, obtained through neon to emphasize the stylistic language of this project, to enhance the fading colours and add value to the textures on the surface. In a reference to the lighting design by Dan Flavin and neon scenography by Lucio Fontana, as well as the use of light as an architectural element. Once again, the collections by Cappellini reveal their eclectic nature, anticipating behaviour and needs of the end-user to adapt with nonchalance to residential and contract spaces. Besides the stand @ Rho Fair, the Cappellini products have been protagonist in several Milanese locations among which the Cappellini Point with the installation The Journey of Water showcasing the limited edition bottles designed by three international designers coordinated by Giulio Cappellini. At our flagship store in Milan unfolded Cappellini goes Gipsy installation, the second act of the concept created by Giulio Cappellini in collaboration with the set designer Valentina Folli to represent the versatility of CAPPELLINI collections: drawing inspiration from styles, colours and customs of eight different cultures, Cappellini showcases an eclectic experience made of just as many settings combining contaminations between present and past, West and East, interior design and décor. At Superstudio Più, within the project Superdesign Show, always curated by Giulio Cappellini, several Cappellini products were displayed such as at the Superloft installation and at the exhibition “Homage to Kuramata” focused on the iconic pieces by the Japanese designer Shiro Kuramata.
