Once again Cappellini confirmed itself in the starring role of innovation leader, experimenting with forms and selecting the new trends of contemporary living. For the occasion of Milano Design Week, a Cappellini Point is opening in Bastioni di Porta Nuova 9, a next generation exhibition space that comes on top of the one in Via Santa Cecilia to reveal a brand-new cultural approach to the project and new patterns of trade by which the company means to reinforce their relationship with market players. The intimate yet dynamic context recreating the hyper realistic atmosphere of a private loft, is the visual statement of Cappellini's vision around design and lifestyle. Projects can be found spread across two main space volumes inviting guests to interact with products and enjoy a moment of relax or exchange views with the company and those in attendance in intimate surroundings. An avant-garde creative workshop made of design objects and advanced scenic technologies, art masterpieces and pops of color on tapestry and architectural elements that defines the style of Cappellini. A visual and cultural journey through the creations of designers such as Jasper Morrison, Nendo, Fabio Novembre, Dimorestudio, as well as the Polish Mac Stopa and the Swedish Johan Lindstèn , in a continuous cross-reference between industrial design techniques and new perspectives on ancient manufacturing arts, between elements borrowed from digital art and aesthetic details drawn from natural elements. New additions from the Salone del Mobile and iconic products are joined together tracing the cultural and creative heritage of the company. For the occasion of Milano Design Week 2016, Karmachina visual studio has been invited to design a video environment with flowers for the public launch of Cappellini Point exhibition spaces. The installation concept highlights the design of the new showroom and the main features of the collections on display blending minimalism and personality.
The flagship showroom in Via Santa Cecilia completes this new chapter of Cappellini's story and welcomes guests in a new living concept centered on unusual combinations of colors. A cobalt shade of blue defines the backstage of the design scene and relates with mirror details in white, magnolia and black. The warm hardwood floor holds the whole together. Furthermore, during Milano Design Week products by Cappellini were displayed at Ceramica Flaminia and Istituto Marangoni fair exhibition spaces at Rho Fair, in addition to the Oikos installations at Torre Velasca and Del Tongo, and the Interni press room at Università Statale.
