Founded in the mid-1980s and based in London and Cambridge, Allies & Morrison is one of Britain's leading architecture and urban planning firms.

Their historic London branch is located within a splendidly restructured Victorian department store, and is now a landmark example of a newly conceived working environment.

The building is characterized by the creation of dynamic, versatile spaces that are well-suited to meet modern lifestyle trends that are influenced by the need for mobility, economic fluctuations and the ability to successfully integrate with technology and the surrounding environment.

Located on the ground floor, in the atrium, old models and new projects are on display, near several rooms dedicated to conferences, exhibitions, screenings and concerts – which are accessible to both employees and external customers.

The restaurant, The Table, is punctuated by the placement of Hi Pad Stools, designed by Jasper Morrison. Gambetta sofas and upholstered benches offer comfortable accommodation during breaks with colleagues or a moment of relaxation.

The well-being of the people who live and work in this environment is reflected not only by their productivity, but also by the creation of a community: the offices of Allies & Morrison were designed to provide a place in which to foster relationships, hold meetings and live together to generate ideas and opportunities, a complete rejection of the outdated concept which saw the workplace merely as a simple container.
