Denoted by clean lines and hand-crafted, the Jana vases are a collection that was designed for Cappellini by Antonio Forteleoni.
These vases are made of black earth, forged by hand on a pottery wheel, and available in two different shapes and dimensions. The markedly traditional design is of Sardinian origin, revised and redesigned with a contemporary edge, yet the the allure of the patina has been conserved, evolving over time to enhance both the colour and finish.
Jana vases are the manifestation of the ancient art of ceramics: any imperfection in the colour or finish should be considered a precious attribute.
Antonio Forteleoni graduated from the IED, in Milan, with a degree in Interior Design and further deepened his knowledge of product design at Central Saint Martins, in London.
